Bewitched

Bewitched
by Elisabeth Fowler

A little old lady
Was lying in bed,
When suddenly a frog
Jumped onto her head!

She opened her mouth,
To let out a scream
But all that came out
Was tons of ice cream!

"I'm bewitched! I'm bewitched!"
She managed to say,
As her hair wrapped around
The place where she lay.

"Oh fiddle-dee-dee!
Here comes a bee!"
As it landed, drowning
In her cup of tea.

"Not again! Not again!"
As a little brown hen
Lay an egg
Right on top of her nose!

All of a sudden,
She woke with a start
And trying to calm
Her beating heart,

Realised it was all just a dream.
