Christmas Poem

Christmas Poem

On the night before Christmas,
Santa was due!
So jolly, so fat,
With a Santa Claus hat!
But came an elf in his stead,
With the hat on his head!
And then did he see,
With a large amount of glee,
A magical rocking chair,
Made from horse hair!
So he sat down with a sigh,
And wished for a pie
Then he found himself stuck!
What terrible luck!
And then the chair rocked him,
'Till his eyes grew quite dim.
A girl named Poll,
And in her hand was a rag doll,
Did come to the room,
With a bottle of washing liquid and a broom!
Then the bottle did she throw,
And behold and lo!
The rocking elf washed clean away,
And for acting Santa, did he pay!
